Google Meet's new AI-powered feature, "Take notes for me," automatically generates meeting notes and summaries, enhancing focus and productivity during meetings.
Gemini is a large language model developed by Google AI. It's designed to be a versatile tool capable of understanding and generating human text in response to a wide range of prompts and questions. Think of it as a highly advanced chatbot that can summarize factual topics or create stories.

According to Google's recent blog post, this new feature called "Take notes for me" is now available for Google Workspace customers who use the app's desktop version are focused on their conversations and comments while AI processes text in real time.
At the end of the meeting, the notes are automatically linked to the calendar activity, making them easily accessible to team members. This information is stored as a Google Doc on the meeting owner’s Google Drive. Late in a meeting, a user can simply query “Summary so far” to get an AI-generated summary of what was discussed.
Currently, this resource is available only on desktop and supports English. Google says this Gemini-powered tool will be available on September 10 for Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Education Premium, and AI.
Additionally, recently Google introduced Gemini-powered features such as “Help me write”, “Polish” in Gmail, making it easier to compose and edit emails These features though are limited to Google Workspace customers on the web , Android and iOS devices are also available.
